i know alot of us “trad” Catholics like to stick strictly to the Missal and dont want to hold hands during the Our Father, but in essence, it is beautiful. That a whole congregation comes together not as members standing next to each other but as a family, as the Body of Christ, hand in hand praying to Our Lord. In that moment, we make physical what we should have bee doing spiritually, becoming ONE, coming together, praying as brothers and sisters. I dont consider it an “abuse” i consider it a jump towards the Kingdom of God.
