We’ve all gone through it. Right after an awesome, God-filled, bonding weekend with your brothers and sisters you get on this thing called a “spiritual high” Where you’re still so hyped up from the weekend all you’re doing is listening to the songs from the retreat, talking to the bros and sisters that were there about inside jokes or funny incidents, quoting worship songs, bible verses, or just something inspiring that you were taught. You feel so refreshed and happy and you feel like nothing could break that stride :) Sadly, that tends to fade away once reality starts to settle back in..All those things you promised yourself you werent gonna do anymore, things that you said you would do, or those things that you were taught just goes down the drain and you’re back at square 1. And then once you’re back at square 1, you just wait. You wait until another retreat, precon, conference, or whatever n to renew your faith and fall back in love with God. Thats not how it should work tho..it shouldnt take all of that to realize how much God loves you and vice versa.
I’m praying for the leaders of the Houston area, i’m praying that all that motivation and drive we had last weekend to build our area up remains the same throughout our years of service.. no matter how hard reality hits us.
Therese Neumann, 1926
Experienced the stigmata, which would appear every Friday for thirty-two years. She is documented as having bled consistently from the hands, feet, side, and forehead, sometimes loosing up to 0.5 liters of blood a day. Much to the surprise of her medical supervision, she would return to normal health by the following Sunday. Her case in unique because it was also reported that she took no food or water for the entire 35 years, aside from the communion wine and wafer. The physicians studying her at the time were able to establish that her intestinal tract had, in fact, withered, yet she remained of sound mind until her death in 1962.
Yeah….. God isnt real huh?! :)

Planned Parenthood lauds Obama admin’s national crackdown on pro-life protesters
That’s right folks….Obama’s Justice Department does not have the time or will to crack down on the illegal distribution of pornographic materials, but plenty of time to collude with pro-aborts to restrict your freedoms.

According to the Vatican official on ecumenism, the Church and the World Lutheran Federation are preparing a Joint Declaration on the Reformation, in view of the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther’s 95 Theses.
Cardinal Kurt Koch, president of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, announced this in an interview with the German Catholic agency KNA.
In this context, Vatican Radio reported Monday that Benedict XVI wants his Sept. 22-25 trip to Germany to have an ecumenical focus.
The Catholic-Lutheran document will “analyze the Reformation in the light of 2,000 years of Christianity,” noted Vatican Radio.
“The joint commemoration of this anniversary could be the occasion for a mutual mea culpa,” the report suggested.
Sounds like a positive step forward to me! Read the rest.
This is great! I pray for the day we can truly be One Church again!
threadlesswoman replied to your post: what is the source and summit of the Christian life?
the Eucharist!
oh i get it! xD sorry. i was tired when i wrote this. i didnt understand the question. its not 2 questions then… sorry. but i will add……
And it is in the Eucharist that this love becomes tangible. In the Eucharist we come face to face with the LIVING God, who continues to love us even after suffering at our sinful hands. In the Eucharist we see God’s love continue to reign as he promised, till the end of days!
